Welcome to Faugy Strategy! I am Major General Nitin Gadkari, and this is my personal website. Faugy Strategy discusses matters of relevance in the national and international arena. I am an Indian Army veteran with vast experience in the field of national security and strategy.
Author Bio
I have served in the Indian Army for 37 years and have fought in Siachen and counter-insurgency ops in J&K. I have also experienced Gulf War I as part of the United Nations in Iraq and Kuwait. Formerly I was the head of College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, a Premier management institution for the three services (Army, Navy, and the Airforce).
I have a PhD from the Osmania University, Hyderabad in Organisational Behaviour. My doctoral thesis was titled ‘ Motivational Factors for Terrorism in J&K’. I am also a post-graduate from Fergusson College, Pune University in Economics.
I have written on varied topics in the domain of national security, international relations and economic affairs in various journals and magazines. Some recently published links are provided below.

I regularly publish to the USI Journal, CLAWS and CASS.
I also write fiction and stories. You can expect some of them to break the monotony of strategy thinking :) My first novel “Oscar Tango” was published in 2019, you can find it on Amazon here. For the lovers of the supernatural genre, there are stories that I will share, some imaginary and some real. I’m also a humourist and occasionally write about my time in the Army and playing Ranji Trophy cricket for the Services team.
